Yes yes yes!!! We are the wayshowers! It's our heroes journey to break the mold and live the life we came here to live. It's not an easy journey but it's worthy.

I dimmed my light from an early age to fit myself into a box that was acceptable. Now I'm 50 and still finding my way out of the box... a way to support myself doing something I love without the grinding 9 to 5. With NO fear!

And you’re never to old, either, to keep dreaming and planning!

Oh my gosh. You just helped me realize that my recent awakening is actually a return to all of the awakenings that I kept having as I was growing up and I was told to go back to sleep. That is why Rumi says don’t go back to sleep … I now see.

I resonate with this kid and your note so hard—growing up, I, too, was warned about my idealism, high standards and radical views, and for years, I let those warnings have power over me. I shrunk and shrunk to an extent that I couldn’t recognise myself. Things changed when I broke and got therapy, and realised that people were just myopic or lacked proof that what I wanted in life could be done. I did it. I’m living my dream life.

Still can’t shake feeling like an imposter or getting a sense that this is a dream and any second, I’m gonna wake up to find all this gone. Those warnings have turned into an inner monologue, and even though, those people no longer say all those things—because I’m living the proof—I can’t always quiet down the noise.

I wish I had access to someone like you growing up to connect/email and get a nudge. That kid did (and my inner child too), and I’m very happy for that.

Thank you so much ☺️

Thank you for sharing a bit of your story here. May the truth of who you are always shine brightly. We need you, the world needs you, to live this way. When you do, you give unspoken permission for those around you to do the same. And together we create a world of genuinely happy people! ❤️

Scott. I just bought your book, it's really fantastic so far. So much of my life I have been living in the back--wanting to live in the driver's seat. I want to quit a job that I don't like--I want to live a sort of life that excites me every day. You're giving me hope that this is possible. I'd love to drop a line to you somehow--email or phone, whatever is possible. Would you be open to that?

What if you do? Each moment is a crossroads—fear on one side, trust on the other. One keeps you stuck. The other sets you free.
