If you’ve ever walked away from the 9–5, downsized your life, chased a dream, or are even just thinking about it—I’d love to hear your story.
Today I’m launching something new on this Substack—something that’s been quietly calling to be created for a while now.
It’s called Reader Stories, and it’s a page dedicated to your voice. Your questions. Your journey.
Because this space was never meant to be one-sided.
It was never just about my story—it was about yours, too.
💬 What is Reader Stories?
It’s a place where we gather the real stuff.
The stories of leaving behind what no longer fits.
The leap from comfort into uncertainty.
The slow-building courage to follow nature’s call.
The days that felt like breakthroughs—and the ones that nearly broke you.
Whether you’ve gone nomadic, quit your job, built a peaceful life around nature, or you’re still quietly sitting with the feeling that something needs to change—you belong here.
This is a community of people who get it. People who’ve said “no more” to the script and are writing something new.
✍️ What You Can Share
Use the Reader Stories page to:
Share your personal story—however big or small
Offer a glimpse of what inspired your shift
Describe the life you’re creating (or hope to create)
Ask a question you’ve been wrestling with
Reflect on what’s helped you along the way
This doesn’t have to be polished. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to be at the mountaintop. The honest middle is welcome here, too.
If you’re struggling—or stuck—you can share that.
You can ask me (Scott) a direct question, or just put it out there. I may not have the perfect answer, but I’ll respond with care, honesty, and whatever insight I can offer.
And maybe someone in this community—someone already living the kind of life you’re striving for—will meet you in the comments with exactly what you needed to hear.
🤝 What Happens Next?
I’ll be selecting reader submissions to feature in future posts (with your permission).
Some will be full stories. Others might be questions or reflections.
Some will feel like beacons. Others like campfire conversations. All are welcome.
This is an experiment in something more human.
More connective.
More real.

Let’s make this more than a newsletter.
Let’s build a community where something real can grow—rooted in truth, story, and the courage to live differently.
I’m honored you’re here.
With appreciation,

This is going to be so good! I'm so excited to read more stories, and maybe submit one of my own!
I love this! So profound!
